'Trapped in a Dreadful Dream': Families of Missing Young People Await Information After Ski Resort Blaze
The loved ones of teens unaccounted for after a deadly inferno at a establishment in a Switzerland's ski resort are facing an agonising wait for confirmed information and requesting any details about their children online.
The fire engulfed the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of the Valais region, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Verified images depict the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.
Officials have stated that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and hurt another scores more. Authorities stated on the latest update that 113 of the injured have been accounted for, with work still underway to identify the other six.
In the meantime, relatives have been posting on online platforms to request any news about their friends who were present at the venue that evening.
Appeals for the Missing
The location of Swiss national Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are currently unknown, according to an public plea from his parent.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is deceased, without mentioning the fire, paying tribute to a "young athlete who represented passion and true sportsmanship."
His father, told media that his son was at the bar and was last heard from around the new year. An official spokesperson has indicated that a formal confirmation of his death is awaited.

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is also unaccounted for. His parent told reporters that he had been on holiday but had ventured out with friends and ended up at the bar.
"A companion said they ran away after the fire started and that he had his phone with him, but then at a specific moment he they were separated," she explained, adding he had been wearing a identifiable piece of jewelry.
One of his teachers said, "I've always been struck by his good nature and positive demeanor, combined with great maturity. He would frequently ask if help out."
Alice Kallergis, who holds both Swiss and Greek nationality but lives full-time in Switzerland, was also present on that night, according to reports.
Her sibling has posted an appeal on social media, saying the relatives has had "no news" regarding the 15-year-old or the group she was with, who are also unaccounted for.
